Construction Surveying

Plans and construction activities come together through construction staking. Staking provides horizontal and vertical definition of buildings, roads, utility lines, plantings, and site grading. The stakes are often offset, out of the way of construction itself.

Field survey crews coordinate closely with construction superintendents to provide timely staking in increments defined by the pace of actual construction. Landplan surveyors combine topographic and engineering design base files to provide cost effective, accurate staking for construction, be it ordered by the developer or construction subcontractors.

As-Built Surveys
A survey carried out at the completion of a project, or a precursor to new works being carried out on existing engineering sites or equipment. These surveys are designed to consolidate the design and minimise delays during fabrication and construction. The as-built survey will form the first stage of a life-cycle survey.
