Sterling Land Services, Inc. (SLSI) is a recent start-up company; however, the individuals that form our organization have some of the broadest experience in Civil Engineering and Surveying of large, complex projects that you will find in the San Diego area.

We are California licensed land surveyors and engineers who, over the last 20 years, have been employed at the largest civil engineering companies in San Diego, until forming Sterling Land Services in 2004. We have over 30 years of civil design and mapping experience on a wide variety of projects. We have a deep understanding and appreciation for the service aspect of our industry, with a reputation for providing clients with good communication, timely responses to design questions, and quality work delivered on schedule.

Sterling Land Services personnel have been involved in the San Diego civil engineering industry for the last 20 years working for San Diego's largest engineering firms on some of largest master planned communities and commercial/municipal projects in the region. This includes construction surveying on the recently completed San Diego Padres Ballpark, many of the largest residential subdivisions recently completed in San Diego County such as Rancho Penasquitos, Scripps Ranch, Otay Ranch, Carrillo Ranch, San Elijo Hills and Bressi Ranch.

Our experience covers the urban environment as well with projects such as the recently completed Museum Towers with Pinnacle International, the Manchester Grand Hyatt Second Tower Addition and a variety of smaller urban infill projects. Our staff provided the primary construction surveying for the recent extension of the San Diego Trolley Tunnel and Underground Station through the SDSU campus.

After completion of the San Diego Ballpark with Clark Construction Group, Sterling's management and survey personnel have been the sole source of construction surveying for all Clark projects completed to date in San Diego. References from Clark will attest to our capabilities in understanding, pre-planning, and providing effective and expedient services for complex projects. Sterling Land Services recently completed with Clark Construction Group construction of the new Caltrans District 11 Office Complex in Old Town. We are presently contracted to provide our services on the La Jolla Veteran's Hospital Seismic Retro-fit.

After completing the 33-story Museum Tower project for Pinnacle International, Sterling has been retained by Pinnacle to provide civil engineering and surveying services on their newest San Diego project. It consists of a full block in downtown San Diego, with two high-rise towers, one 36 story, and one 40 story, together containing 680 residential units, along with 22,000 S.F. of commercial space and a public park on the Southerly portion of the site.

Since forming our company in early 2004, we have focused on multi-family infill projects, providing engineering, surveying, and mapping services for a variety of clients and project types. Prior to forming Sterling, our specialty was large volume grading and related infrastructure improvements, and this continues to be a large portion of our work. As the construction/development industry evolves, we attempt to focus on new trends, resulting in a strong reputation and client base for condominium mapping. We have experience on dozens of these projects, both new construction, as well as conversions, due to the recent surge in demand for this type of service. We presently have over 100 condominium projects, totaling more than 1000 units, being entitled in various municipalities from coastal South Bay to Oceanside, as well as East County and the Inland Empire. We have a large network of consultants with whom we partner to provide conversion services we don't complete in-house. We can provide a variety of references to verify our experience and efficiency in completing this type of work.

Many of our projects and job referrals come from long recognized leaders in the residential building industry in San Diego.

Our insurance coverage is adequate to cover the requirements of almost any size client/project. We maintain one of the lowest hourly rates for our union survey crews. Our trucks are new and well maintained, and our survey equipment is state of the art.
